2-Night Belgrade Discovery Tour

Day 1 – Welcome to Belgrade

Upon arrival at Belgrade International Airport, and after passport control, you’ll be greeted by our professional tour escort holding a DMC Balkans Travel & Event sign. A warm welcome awaits you, along with a short briefing about your upcoming journey.

Start your Belgrade adventure with a walk through the heart of the city. Stroll past the iconic Palata Albanija along Knez Mihailova Street and reach the lively Republic Square, home to the monument of Knez Mihailo, the National Museum, and the National Theatre.

Continue exploring the pedestrian zone of Knez Mihailova Street and admire the Patriarchate of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the residence of Princess Ljubica. Your journey leads to Belgrade Fortress – Kalemegdan, overlooking the confluence of the Sava and Danube Rivers. From panoramic viewpoints, marvel at Novi Beograd and Zemun, visit the Monument of Gratitude to France, and capture photos at the iconic Statue of Victor.

Wrap up the day with a stroll through the historic Dorcol district, visiting the Bajrakli Mosque, the oldest surviving mosque in Belgrade.

Day 2 – Optional excursion: Sremski Karlovci & Novi Sad (aprox. 8-10h)

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic 45-minute drive to Sremski Karlovci, a charming town full of history and architecture. Begin with a viewpoint offering stunning vistas of the city, then take a walking tour through the town center. Discover landmarks like Serbia’s oldest Gymnasium, the Four Lions Fountain, Saborna Church, and the old Roman Catholic cathedral.

No visit is complete without wine! Enjoy a tasting at one of the local wine cellars before departing to Novi Sad. Explore the Petrovaradin Fortress with breathtaking city views, then stroll through the vibrant city center. The evening is free for individual exploration.

Day 2 – Optional Excursion – Tara National Park & Drina River Valley (aprox. 12h)

After breakfast, join an optional full-day excursion to explore the breathtaking landscapes of Tara National Park and the Drina River Valley. Located about 125 miles (200 km) from Belgrade, these scenic wonders are best experienced with a knowledgeable guide and comfortable transportation, avoiding the hassle of car rentals or public buses.

Travel in a small group and make multiple stops at key viewpoints, including the dramatic Banjska Rock, as well as the iconic House on the Rock. Learn the fascinating history, geology, and legends of the region from your guide while soaking in the serene beauty of the dense forests, winding rivers, and mountain vistas.

Return to Belgrade in the evening for overnight stay.

Day 2 - Optional Excursion – Resava Valley: Manasija Monastery & Resava Cave (aprox. 8h)

After breakfast, join an optional full-day excursion to the Resava Valley, a region rich in natural wonders and medieval history. Travel comfortably in provided transportation, avoiding the stress of public buses and timetables, while enjoying the scenic Serbian countryside.

Visit the 15th-century Manasija Monastery, a remarkable example of Serbian medieval architecture, and explore the Resava Cave, an 80-million-year-old natural formation with stunning stalactites and stalagmites. Your guide will share fascinating stories and historical context while providing ample time for questions and photos.

Return to Belgrade in the evening for overnight stay.

Day 3 – Departure

Enjoy a final breakfast at your hotel before your journey onward. Your Belgrade adventure concludes with memories of history, culture, and breathtaking views.
