Bucharest Getaway – The Heart of Romania

Day 1 – Arrival & Bucharest City Tour

Upon arrival at Bucharest International Airport, the transfer to the hotel will be waiting. After check-in, begin a panoramic and walking city tour of Romania’s vibrant capital. Visit the Palace of Parliament, one of the largest buildings in the world, Revolution Square, University Square, and the elegant Avenue of Victory. Stroll through the Old Town (Lipscani District), filled with charming cafes, boutiques, and historic landmarks.

Return to your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2 – OPTIONAL Excursion: Transylvania Castles & the Medieval City of Brașov (aprox. 12-14h)

After breakfast, embark on an optional full-day excursion to explore the legends and treasures of Transylvania. Begin with a visit to the magnificent Peleș Castle in Sinaia, the former royal residence of Romanian kings and one of Europe’s most beautiful palaces, nestled in the Carpathian Mountains.

Continue to the world-famous Bran Castle, often called “Dracula’s Castle” for its Gothic architecture, mysterious towers, and ties to Vlad the Impaler. Learn about the myths and real history behind Romania’s most iconic fortress.

In the afternoon, travel to Brașov, one of Transylvania’s best-preserved medieval towns. Enjoy a guided walking tour through its charming cobblestone streets, lively squares, and Saxon architecture.

Return to Bucharest in the evening. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 – OPTIONAL Excursion: Slănic Salt Mine & Salt Mountain (aprox. 8h)

After breakfast, enjoy a free day in Bucharest or join an optional excursion to explore the fascinating geological wonders of Slănic Prahova.

Begin your journey with a visit to the Slănic Salt Mine, one of the largest salt mines in Europe, located about 100 km north of Bucharest. Descend deep underground to admire the impressive salt-carved chambers and learn about the mine’s history and the natural healing properties of salt air.

Continue to the nearby Salt Mountain, a rare natural formation created by centuries of erosion and rich in mineral deposits. Discover the unique microclimate of the area, known for its therapeutic benefits and year-round spa activities.

Return to Bucharest in the afternoon for leisure time or an evening at your own pace.

Day 3 – Departure Day

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Bucharest International Airport for your return flight.
